LOOKS AND LIFE
PERSONALITY.
Blunt, confident, and intense. When you first meet Kaya, generally ones first thought is, "Wow, this wolf doesn't like me. What's her problem?" For the most part, that is an accurate assumption because Kaya doesn't like most wolves. She has a very blunt, obvious "get away from me," attitude when she first meets someone. Kaya doesn't like introductions, but she isn't afraid of confrontation. The reason behind this hostile personality is because of the life she's lived, which wasn't an easy one. She rarely lets anyone in, rarely lets anyone know the real Kaya. But, once someone, somehow manages to break down her thick defensive walls, that someone will learn what a passionate, caring, and wonderful wolf she truly is. Kaya loves to laugh, loves to tell stories, and loves that feeling of belonging, a feeling she hasn't had in a while. Deep down, she has a love of games and play fighting, but rarely has the opportunity to show that side of herself to anyone. When it comes to conversation and her interaction with others, you can expect no ore than a polite, "hello." It isn't in her nature to strike up a conversation with anyone and it defiantly isn't like her to approach you first, unless she has a strong reasoning behind it. It takes a strong willed, and cocky wolf to hold Kaya's attention because if she doesn't find you interesting or worth her time, you might as well be talking to a wall. Her interests usually depend on her moods because she has a tendency to change them rather quickly. The main reason behind this is because of her awareness of what is always going on around her. She is very in tune with her environment and those in it. Her first instinct is to watch, observe, calculate, and observe. She has to know all the details of a situation before diving head first into anything. All in all, Kaya cannot be judged by her demeanor, because it is very misleading from the wolf she truly is.
APPEARANCE.
Like most wolves of her species, Kaya has a mixed colored coat. Her main coat color is a soft, grungy tan from her paws, up her legs, and underneath her stomach and neck, including her face. The fur on her shoulders, back, and haunches begins to turn into mixtures of black, chocolate and even grey. Down the length of her snout, she has a shade darker fur color, and just behind her eyes to the rest of her face matches her back and shoulders. Kaya has a husky build, and is the average size of a wolf her age and species. Her legs are slightly longer in proportion to her body, which gives her a sauntering gate when she walks. She also carries herself a special way; taking long, precise steps and holding her head high, confident, but not arrogant. This walk of hers isn't something she does on purpose, but it's something she's learned to accept. She wants others to know she isn't a weak, subordinate female, but rather the opposite; a powerful, strong-minded wolfess who rarely backs down from any confrontation. She has brown tipped ears that tend to be her trademark, and make her stand out. Kaya also has an intense, coffee colored stare, another signature feature. She uses her eyes more than most wolves she'd ever met' they're her way of communicating to others. Most don't pick up on it until they've learned more about Kaya, but if you really want to know what she's thinking, it's all in her firm gaze. She expresses herself through body language and woofs and barks vs. holding a solid conversation, mostly because she can become bored quite easily.
PAST. Kaya was born into a well sized, well fed, and overall, healthy pack. She was the daughters alpha, his princess, and the only female in her litter. She has a single twin brother Keeto who has always been like her second mind. The two were inseparable from birth all the way up until last year. She has an older brother Kosta, who was heir to their fathers pack. The family was very close and quite perfect, until Kaya’s father’s sudden murder. He was brutally attacked and killed by two rival wolves from a neighboring pack just days before Kosta was to take over the pack. In the chaos, the strong, well fed pack of 12 was picked off, killed, and shattered. Kaya and Keeto were just 3 years old, barely adults, and instinctively clung to their mother Kora when the attack happened. Kosta was helpless by the side of his father’s limp body, and soon erupted, fighting back. Unfortunately, the 12 member pack only had 5 warriors capable to fight, while the rival pack had 8. The odds were unforgiving and the damage was done. All the females of Kaya’s pack were slaughtered, including her mother right in front of her eyes, and all the males were chased from the territory, captured, and tortured, including Keeto and Kosta. In the bloodshed, Kaya had been hidden away in an underground cave her mother kept for emergencies when she was a young pup. Kaya didn’t want to leave her mother, but had no choice but to stay hidden, promising her mother she wouldn’t leave the cave until the chaos was over. As she’d promised, her mother was attacked from behind, and killed in front o her. In anger, Kaya had attacked the rival wolf with so much pain and outrage, that this was when the first of her powers showed. After Kaya’d killed the wolf, small flower buds rose from the ground all around the dead body, and bloomed a deep crimson color. Kaya spent the night hidden away in the cave, battling her mixed emotions and emerged the day after. All around her she saw members of her old pack lying on the ground, cold and lifeless. She walked to each body she could find, grieving over her family, and found her father’s body last. Jerome had been slaughtered so brutally, his face was barely recognizable and his head was completely decapitated from his body, rigid bite marks covering his neck and shoulders. The wolves that did this didn’t stop for anything; they’d eaten straight through her father’s neck, with no mercy. Kaya mourned for days, refusing to leave her packs side, but was eventually forced to run for her life when scouts form the bloodthirsty pack came back looking for survivors. She barely escaped with her life, killing a rival wolf in the process. From that day on, Kaya was on her own, and a completely different wolf. Her mind set and personality were forever tainted. She spent 8 months wondering on her own, wondering whether she’d see her brother’s again, still unsure if they were alive or not. In her solitude, Kaya has learned to trust few, and always remain skeptical, questionative, and doubtful.
